

She was born to Earl and Aline Smith on December 29, 1927 in Kinder, LA. She spent time as a seamstress and thoroughly enjoyed it, sewing for personal clients, local band, and dance studios. She retired from Sears and Roebuck as an interior decorator and was top decorator. She sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for a short time. She loved to crochet and do needlework

Left to cherish her memory are her son; Michael Richard and wife Sandy of North Little Rock, AK, daughter; Deborah Kirby and husband Jarrott of Huntsville, TX, sister; Geneva Richard, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jesse Lynn Richard and second husband; Claude A. Vincent, brothers; Henry Smith and Harold Smith, and sisters; Marie Arceneaux and Ida Autin.
Her visitation will be held on Monday November 27, 2017 from 4-8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:30pm. A special tribute prior to the Rosary will be given by her grandson, Brad Kirby.Visitation will resume at 8:30am on Tuesday until her service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 11am on Tuesday November 28, 2017 with burial to follow at Prien Memorial Park.
