

A native of Vinton, La. she has resided in Lake Charles continuously since 1959. She had resided in Grand Chenier, La prior to 1959. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She sang in the Resurrection choir and worked at the Family Life Center at OLQH. She enjoyed babysitting children of working parents in her home as well. She enjoyed attending daily mass, saying the rosary and visiting the Adoration Chapel at OLQH.
Maggie leaves to honor her memory her children, Denis Husers and wife Linda, Jane Gremillion and husband Wayne, Joyce Miller and husband Mike all of Lake Charles and Timothy and wife Jacquelyn of San Antonio. Grandchildren, Todd Husers and wife Gabrielle of Prairieville La, Ashley Daigle and husband James of Mobile, Al, Jennifer McNab and husband Scott of Houston, Tx, Neil Gremillion and fiancé’ Brandi of Lake Charles, Lisa Zimmermann and husband Karl of Lake Charles, Lauryn Drennan and husband Jim of Richmond Tx., Michael Miller and wife Sherry of Friendswood, TX, Ryan Miller and fiancé Carra Smith of Corpus Christi, Tx. Amanda and Brooke Husers of San Antonio, Tx. Great –Grandchildren, Andre’, Amelie, Jacques and Luke Husers of Praireville, La , Andrew and Elisabeth Daigle of Mobile, Al, Hudson and Harrison McNab of Houston, Tx, Grayson Gremillion of Lake Charles, Maggie and Oakley Zimmermann of Lake Charles, Miller and Parker Drennan of Richmond Tx, Molly Mae and Lilly Grace Miller of Friendswood, Tx. Also, one brother-in-law, Dick Wilson of Vinton. She loved and enjoyed a close friendship with her many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd G. Husers and daughter Judith Ann Husers, parents, Cornelius and Catherine Moss Bahnsen; brothers, Elwin, Ernest, Elton, and Moss Bahnsen and their spouses; sisters, Wilda Hale and Carol McConnaughhay and their spouses and Dorothy Wilson. Also, her cousin/sister Oneta Sandifer and her spouse.
Maggie loved life and she loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and sharing a great meal with the family and or friends. She was a hard worker and always put her family first. She was a great wife and mother. Much credit goes to her for the care she gave daughter Judith Ann who was born with a severe heart defect. Judith was given months to live at birth and she lived to age 24 thanks to the awesome care she received from her Mom. Maggie loved Jesus and there is no doubt that she is with him today in Heaven. She will be missed greatly.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 am on Wednesday November 2, 2016 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church under the direction of Hixon Funeral Home. Father Whiney Miller will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday November 1, 2016 from 5-8 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 and will resume Wednesday at 8:30am in the funeral home. Private burial will be a Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles on Thursday. Donations can be made to McNeese State University Foundation in her memory. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
