He was born and raised in Creole and lived most of his life there. He later moved to Lake Charles, where he lived with the love his life, Theresa, for the last 20 years. He was a very loving and generous husband, father, father-in-law, poppy, son, uncle and friend. He never met a stranger and extended love and support to everyone he met. Marlo was the backbone of his family and the magnet that kept them all together. He made sure to always plan for cook-outs and gatherings to host for family and friends. He loved so passionately and with all his heart.
He was always very involved in his children's lives, from coaching their sports to raising their livestock animals. He generously volunteered for many years in Creole in the Knights of Columbus. Marlo loved working cows, tending to his garden and fishing. He loved helping people and cooking for weddings, benefits and volunteering in any way he could. Marlo always put others before himself. He truly knew love and wasn't afraid to show his affection.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Richard of Grand Lake; wife, Theresa Miller; son, Ryan Keith Miller and his wife Tressa and their children, Carson and Avery Miller of Spring, TX, daughter, Erin Miller LaFosse and her husband Robbie and their children, Jaxon and Millie LaFosse of Lake Charles; brother, Richard Richard and wife Shantelle.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own, godchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Clarence "Bo Chalk" and Beulah Boudreaux, who raised him and who he thought of as his parents.
