

She was born to the late Guy Virgil and Ursula V. Rich, January 17, 1919, in Shreveport, La. Marcie graduated from high school in 1936 and attended Dodd College in Shreveport, La. She married the late Wade E. Plauché, II on October 18, 1937 and the couple settled in Lake Charles, La.
Marcie was a devoted wife and mother of five children. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League, and the Lake Charles Ballet Society. She loved to play bridge and played at least once a week until well into her eighties. She also enjoyed gardening.
Two of Marcie’s children are deceased: Dr. Wade E. Plauché, III, of Jackson, Ms. and Marcie Patricia Plauché, of Lafayette, La. Marcie is survived by three children: Daniel Rich (Frances) Plauché, of Lake Charles, Guy Rich (Marcia) Plauché, of Sulphur, and Renée Plauché (David) Nesper, of Houston. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Marcie’s grandchildren are: Suzanne Plauché Hutchinson and Wade Plauché Hicks, of Atlanta; Michelle Plauché VonCanon, of Chattanooga; Andrew Plauché, of Jackson, Ms.; Geoffrey Allan Plauché, of Edgewood, Ky.; Emily Plauché Lodge, of Ellicott City, Md.; Bruce William Plauché, of Sulphur; Christina Plauché Calloway, of Catonsville, Md.; Adam Joseph Plauché, of Lake Charles; Michelle Marie Doucet, of Lafayette, La.; Stephanie LeDoux Anderson, of Prairieville, La.; and Kelley Plauché Nesper, of Brooklyn, New York.
Marcie’s great-grandchildren are: Troy Howell Hutchinson, IV, of Atlanta, Ga.; Madelyn Graham VonCanon and Lillie Maria VonCanon, of Chattanooga, Tn.; Sophia Inara Plauché and Rohan Connor Plauché, of Edgewood, Ky.; Julian Blaize Lodge, of Ellicott City, Md.; (quintuplets) Owen Parker Plauché, Tessa Quinn Plauché, Miles Shephard Plauché, Reece William Plauché, and Corinne Elise Plauché of Lake Charles; Delilah Rose Calloway, of Catonsville, Md.; Trevor James Doucet and Julia Marie Doucet, of Lafayette, La.; and, Patricia Ilene Engelhardt and Aubrey Michelle Anderson of Prairieville, La.
