She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Barbe High School Class of 1979 and a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral. She was the former president of Louisiana Finance Assoc. and owner of Lake City Finance.
Monica always lived life to the fullest. She filled life with love and laughter wherever she went. She shared that beautiful smile and always made each person feel loved. She possessed a strong faith which was reflected in her daily life. She danced through this life and leaves a legacy of faith, hope and love with her two greatest blessings, Meg and Katie.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Don Thomason of Lake Charles; daughters, Megan and Katie Thomason of Lake Charles; parents, George and Ruth Bouquet of Lake Charles; brother, Robert Bouquet of Lake Charles; sisters, Dina Bouquet Istre and husband Barton and Glenda Bouquet Williams and husband Bob of Lake Charles; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Msgr. Daniel Torres will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 4pm until 8pm with a rosary at 6pm and resume Monday at 8am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
