She was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and lived in many states during her lifetime including Texas, California, Georgia, Ohio, Virginia and Louisiana.
Famous for her love of cats, delicious Southern cooking, and quick witty sense of humor, she will be missed by many loving friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Allen Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
