

He was born June 13, 1937 in Edgerly, LA to Claude and Alma (Babineaux) Chesson. He married Earline Heard, July 9, 1966 in Orange, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Earline of Grand Lake, two daughters, Paula Ann Chesson and Angela Mallett and her husband Mitchell, three grandchildren, John Paul Chesson, Timothy Chesson and Kelsey Broussard, four great-grandchildren and one sister Joyce Granger and her husband Joseph “Buddy” of Grand Lake.
Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1966. He worked as a carpenter for many years for several area contractors. He was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church and the Carpenters Union Local 953.
He was an avid fisherman, he loved the outdoors, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19 2015 from 5 to 9 pm with a rosary service at 6:00 pm and will resume at 9 am on Friday, March 20, 2015 until the time of service at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A funeral service will be on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Prien Cemetery in Lake Charles.
