

Rena Lantz Faulk passed away, after a brief illness, on June 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rena was born in Iota, LA to Emily and Martin Lantz on October 3, 1930. Rena married Paul “Dudley” Faulk on November 13, 1950. Together they started the internationally known Faulk’s Game Call Co. Inc. in 1951. She continued to oversee and manage the business until her death.
Rena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed traveling, gardening, antique cars, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her 3 daughters Julie Heard (husband Marshall Heard), Sheron Faulk (husband Kyle Swoope), Paula Faulk (husband Terris Friedman) one sister-in-law Dot Lantz, grandchildren Sarah LeBleu, Canaan Heard, Rachel Mills, Jaime Heard Harris (husband Christopher Harris), Dylan Heard, Jason Friedman, and 6 great grandchildren. Also, her brothers Hilry (Carolyn) Lantz of Baton Rouge and Donald (Margie) Lantz of Morgan City.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul “Dudley” Faulk, her parents, and her brother Rodney Lantz of Carlyss.
Rena was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church for over 50 years, Ducks Unlimited, and the Antique Automobile Club of America.
She was known for her great generosity, kind and gentle nature, deep love for her family and God, and helping others.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Sunday, June 7 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s at 10am June 8th with visitation starting at 8am until mass with a burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery.
