He was born August 6, 1922 in San Francisco to R.H. “Bob” and Ernestine Abercrombie.
Robert had a love for his family and his Lord and Savior. He was a devoted Christian and served our country during World War 2 in the Air Force. He attended Lamar High School in Houston and was a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin. Robert worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Independent Oil Producer.
Robert is preceded in death by his loving sister, Maria Sall Abercrombie.
He is survived by his son, Robert Haden Abercrombie; daughter, Barbra Nicholson; grandchildren, Haley, Amber and Amanda Abercrombie and Amanda Frank. He was a great man, father, grandfather. Overall, Robert had the most kind nurturing heart and love for people. He was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by many.
Grave side services will be held Monday, July 17th 2017 10am at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX 77023.
