Rodney Louis Smith, 73, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1952 in Lake Charles.

He is survived by his children, Edley Smith (Bridgett), Randy Smith (Angel), John Rice (Vina), Roxanna Domingue (Bryant), Tammie Conner (Shane), and Henry Rice; fourteen grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Rodney was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Morales Smith, parents, Duel Smith and the former Eurble Jacks; daughter, Tammy Lynn Smith; and two grandchildren, Shandy Shane Conner and Mikki Kay Domingue.

The family requests that visitation be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
