Sandra Fisher Miguez Taveney

The passing of Sandra leaves a void in her family and friends' lives, she will greatly be missed.

Sandra made her life alongside her devoted husband and friend Tommy who passed away a short 10 months ago. Sandra was a devoted wife to her late husband, loving to her family, and a very large group of close friends. She was an alumnus of LaGrange High School class of 1961 and enjoyed weekly dinners with her high school girlfriends. Sandra was a lifelong supporter of unwanted animals and the Humane Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Taveney, parents, George & Ethel Fisher and former husband, James Miguez, her brother, Jared Fisher.

Sandra is survived by her step-children, Thomas Dwayne Taveney (Kelli) of Silsbee, TX; Rhonda Taveney Reed (Glenn) of Iowa, LA; like her daughter, Teddi Guillory, Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Tristin, Jasmine, Rebecca, Dustin, Tyler, and Alexis; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeannie Smith (Mike); and nephew, James David Miguez (Sean) and their son, David, and niece, Katia Carroll (Ric).

The family will welcome the public for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Chapel of Peace, Thursday, March 21 2024, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, March 22 2024, at 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA.
