Susan was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the International Egg Art Guild. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Sonney Begley; two sons, Donald Begley and wife, Norma Jean of Lake Charles and Julious Begley and wife Amanda Wolfe of Roswell, GA; two daughters, Maryella Begley of Orange, TX and Andrea Suydam and husband, Jeremy of Lake Charles; one brother, James Byrd of Salley, South Carolina; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Charlotte Byrd.
A Memorial Service will be at 4pm Saturday, April 5, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 1-4pm Saturday at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
