

He was born in Shreveport, LA to Curtis M. and Loretta Barfield McInnis on July 15, 1931. He moved to Lake Charles at the age of 12 and attended Central, Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. Employed at PPG Industries from 1961 to 1997, Bill pursued his leisure as well. An avid bowler, Bill won the title of State Singles Scratch Champion in 1962. In later years he played golf with equal zeal and enjoyed McNeese athletics as a member of the Cowboy Club. A member of First Baptist Church for over 55 years, Bill served as Sunday School and deacon. He was Past Member of Justice Lodge F & AM.
Survivors include Bill's wife of 54 years, Sue Perkins McInnis; daughter, Sheri Creasy and husband, Cliff of The Woodlands, TX; granddaughter, Caitlin Alane Creasy also of The Woodlands, TX; brother, James C. McInnis and wife, Judy, of Big Lake.
Known for his loud, boisterous laugh, Bill is rejoicing in Heaven and invites you to share his joy. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Dr. John White, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. til time of service.
