Alan Wayne Coston Sr., age 69, of Lake Odessa, Michigan passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at his home. Al was born on May 4, 1954 in Sheridan, MI to Richard and Donna Coston. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War era Veteran. Al was an huge fan of John Wayne movies and MASH. The family will always remember his roasting pan of popcorn and making fudge. He enjoyed golfing and spending time working in his yard. The time he was able to spend with his grandchildren was treasured.
Al will be lovingly remembered by; Wife Betty, children Alan (Shelby) Coston Jr, Nicole (Michael) Whorley, Josh (Kathleen) Coston, Lynde (Adam) Bushre, Tammy Hall, Tina Eastman, siblings Kermit Coston, JoJean (Ken) Eastman, Jacki (Marty) Weitzel, Patricia Coston, Rebecca (Bryon) Guerney and Rodney Coston, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents,grandchildren Kelvin Joe Mays,Tiffany Davis and Jenna Benedict, sister-in-law Denise Coston.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Koops Funeral Chapel from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Burial with full Military Honor to take place immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa, MI.
Memorials can be given to VFW post 4461 in Al's name.
