Christopher Makley

Christopher Makley, 46, of Woodland passed away at Spectrum's Butterworth Campus, Saturday, May 11, 2013 and went to be with his Lord. Chris was born on April 29, 1967 in Hastings, MI to Kenneth and Mary (Baitinger) Makley. He was a 1985 graduate of Lakewood High School and life- long area resident. Along with construction work, Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, mushrooming, and asparagus hunting, or just riding around with Tobey Dean by his side. Chris will be dearly missed by many including his children Michael (Jordan Head) Makley Jr. of Lake Odessa, MI, Torey Makley of Bellevue, MI, Ashley Roskam of Woodland, MI, Amber (Justin) Gillons of Lake Odessa, MI, Alexis Roskam of Woodland, MI; parents Kenneth and Mary Makley of Woodland, MI; partner Kami Trierweiler of Woodland, MI; siblings Jon (April) Makley of Lake Odessa, MI, and Jason (Michele) Makley of Lake Odessa, MI. Preceding Chris in death are his grandparents and his sister Tammy McLaughlin. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa, MI 48849. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 6261 Velte Road, Woodland, MI 48897. Burial will follow at Woodland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in his name to Zion Lutheran Church.
