George A McClellan, age 97, of Lake Odessa, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025. He was born on October 6th, 1927 to Alva and Catherine (Clark) McClellan in Grand Rapids, MI. George was a special education teacher for 42 years in the Grand Rapids School systems. He moved to Lake Odessa in 1984 and retired shortly after that. In retirement he enjoyed breeding Maremma livestock guardian dogs, that he trained to herd sheep. George started Lake Odessa Antique Mall in 1996, he also operated it until his health forced him to retire for a second time.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children; Diane (Scott Daining) Brooks, David (Sheila) McClellan, and Jay (Liz) McClellan, grandchildren Josh (Joni) Brown, Cassie Brown, Treena (Paul) Fulton, Nash (Toni Cummings) Taylor, great-grandchildren Emily, Nayden, Mason, Jameson, along with too many friends to count.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on September 24th, 2025 at The Main Floor in Lake Odessa, MI from 4pm until 8pm.
