Shawn Heise

Shawn Heise, age 45, of Woodland, Michigan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the family farm surrounded by his loved ones. Shawn was born to Ken Heise and Denise Durkee on June 23, 1979 in Hastings, MI. He was a lifelong farmer in the Woodland area and loved working side by side on the family farm with his Dad. Shawn was a musician and loved music, but treasured the time he spent with his children the most.

Shawn will be dearly missed by his; children Ella and Kasein, his parents Denise Durkee, Ken and Karen Heise, siblings Andrew Dragoo and Allie (Carson) Legg, grandparents Gerald and Sandra Durkee, Joyce Heise, nieces Holland and Francis Legg, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death are grandfather Charles Heise, uncle Jeff Hull and uncle Bob Nelson.

A celebration of Shawn's life will was held on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church, 6261 Velte Rd, Woodland, MI 48897. With a luncheon served after the service. Private burial will take place in Woodland Memorial Park, Woodland, MI.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either Easterseals MORC or Manna's Market.
