high school he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska for a majority of his
service.
He moved to Florida in the early 1950s where he met his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Schwall Bartlett,
who preceded him in death. After serving in the Air Force, he became a Jet Aviation Mechanic for Pratt
& Whitney. He worked there for over 30 years and retired in the late 1990s.
He enjoyed woodworking and participating in craft shows with this wife. He was a Deacon at First
Baptist Church of Lake Worth and delivered food to the less fortunate through the Harvest Food
Program. He also enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, David Bartlett and Cynthia Rayss; grandchildren, Jason Rayss and Heather
Midkiff; and great-grandchildren, Kinsey, Corbin & Levi.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses Association, especially Monica, and Trustbridge
Hospice for the excellent care they provided to him.
The family will receive their friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Dorsey – E.
Earl Smith Funeral Home located at 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A funeral will be held after the viewing at 2:00pm. Mr. Bartlett will be laid to rest following his funeral service at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or Trustbridge Hospice Foundation.
