

Amy Georgina McWhirter Hutton, age 78, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on March 17, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late John Howard McWhirter and Florence Esther McWhirter. She graduated from Penn Hills High School in Pennsylvania in 1965, and Clarion State College in 1968.
Amy worked as a teacher early in her career before dedicating her life to being a full-time mother and raising her family. She was an avid reader, an ecommerce entrepreneur, and loved crafting. She will be remembered as a determined and loving woman whose devotion to her family defined her life.
Over the years she was also mother to Christopher, Taylor, Rebecca, Frederique, Naomi, Jean-Claude, and Marc.
Amy is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Hutton. She is also survived by her children: Wendy (Jeff) Dafoe, Adam (Sandy) Hutton, Meghan (Darren) Malynn, Jonathan Hutton, Justin (Stephanie) Hutton, Caitlyn, Matthew, Jennifer, William, Emily, Danielle, Ross, Jeremy, and Jay. She was a proud grandmother to Sean (Nicole) Malynn, Alec Malynn, Liam Hutton, Lucas Hutton, and Grayson Hutton.
She is also survived by her sisters Janet (Charles) Dressing and Marjorie (Paul) Heckler; her brothers John (Diane) McWhirter and Edward McWhirter; her brother-in-law Kenneth (Patti) Hutton; her niece Melissa (Jacob) Baglien; along with nephews Conner McWhirter and Edward McWhirter.
In addition to her parents Amy was preceded in death by her children Amanda, Ethan, Robin, and Jasmine, her brother-in-law Dwight (Mary) Hutton, and nephews Ryan Hutton and Shawn Heckler.
