Charles R. Hennick 92 of West Palm Beach passed away Wednesday February 6th 2019 at St. Marys hospital at 12:07 AM. He was born on Thursday March 3rd 1927 in Brooklyn. A son of the late Charles and Anna Hennick.
Charles was a WW2 veteran and served in Italy in 1946, upon returning to the states he built a service station and a motel in New Jersey. Charles moved to Florida in the early fifties and built a house and raised his family there. He received a masters degree in aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle. Charles was a loving husband and retired after more than 20 years from Pratt & Whitney where he perfected the afterburner for the SR71 BlackBird and became an expert and global consultant on the F100 bearings.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting from air boats and restoring cars. He was a sweet kind man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his two daughters Mary Anderson ,Ruth Mansmith, and his two sons Thomas Hennick and David Hennick, four grand children Treavor Hennick, April French, Charlotte Hennick and Bryan Hennick and one great grand child Palmer French.
Charles was preceeded in death by his devoted wife Margaret Hennick and his son Ronald Hennick and his brother Raymond Hennick and his sister Joan Hennick Hudson.
Funeral services with military honors were held on Saturday Feburary 9th at 9:30 am. Charles was laid to rest next to his wife Margaret and his son Ronald.
