Christopher W. Diamond

Christopher Diamond, best known as Chris, age 66 of Palm Springs, FL passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2023 surrounded by his family after a very courageous battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). Facing this terrible disease, he always told everyone how truly lucky and grateful he was to have his family and friends for being there to help him through this and his great, positive attitude will be remembered by all that knew him. Chris will be forever remembered by his loving wife, Marcia, of almost 45 years and his children, Christopher and Kelley and his granddaughter Chiara, his mother Carol Diamond, father Wayne Diamond, (Ardelle), and his brother Wayne (Vicki). Chris was predeceased by his sister, Toni Michelle Diamond (Warren Schiffer). He will also fondly be remembered by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws, sometimes referred to as the outlaws, his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and so many close and dear friends.

Chris was born and raised in Western Massachusetts and met his wife on a blind date in July 1978. They were married in July 1979 and moved to Florida in 1980. Chris worked in the telecommunication industry for many years, installing phone and computer systems and he just loved being self-employed and being his own boss, which he could then make and enjoy his own schedule!

He loved our family vacations going up to New England to see family, taking ski vacations out west and lots of weekend getaways to anywhere we wanted to go. Just spending time with family was a wonderful treat. He also was an avid sports fan, loved playing and watching all kinds of sports, baseball, football, golf, soccer, bowling, snow skiing and anything else that he could watch on TV. His favorite sports teams were the Boston Red Sox, New York Giants, Boston Celtics and made sure that anyone he spoke to knew that. He also enjoyed the oldies music, the 50’s and 60’s and would sing out loud for all to hear while in his truck listening to his Sirius radio and his granddaughter Chiara would learn and sing all of them along with him. Loved watching all the old black and white movies as well. A true highlight for him was coaching his son, Christopher, in travel baseball and his daughter, Kelley in travel softball when they were younger. He loved spending time with them and all the other members on their teams as well, which is hard to say, but he was a tough coach, but so respected by all the players. Even in later years when he would see any of those kids, they would still address him as Coach Chris. Made his heart melt!
