Desirette Remelus

Desirette St Louis Remelus, was born on June 11, 1952 in Negriel. She migrated to Florida in 1997. She passed away at the age of 72 on Friday, June 6, 2025, in a Lake Worth, FL nursing home. She was married to Steve Remelus. They met in 1966 and raised 5 children together. She left behind 4 sons and 1 daughter, 21 grand-children and 12 great grand-children.

Desirette was a strong, hardworking, determined and a very caring woman who always had the best intentions for the family. She did everything she could for her husband, kids, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren, and for that she will always be remembered as a true warrior. Even in her sickness she fought until the very end, and we will miss her greatly. Many fun times and holidays were spent cooking and enjoying family time together. Our family was so happy that we got to see mom this past Mother’s Day. The family was able to spend time and make some more memories with her. She’s now resting in peace and no longer suffering. We are very happy to say that our mom left behind a legacy of love and compassion.

We would like to say a big thank you to the doctors, nurses, and all other medical staff. Also, the family would like to say a big thank you to our church, family and friends that kept our family in their thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful for your support and presence.

Entombment: She will be laid to rest at Lake Worth Memory Gardens: 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461. Following the burial service, please join us for a reception at the reception hall at 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 3346. Food and drinks will be provided.
