Edward A. ROBERTS “Ted”, age 70, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday March 22, 2018. He was born January 21, 1948 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Ted was a 20 year veteran of the Navy as well as a 20 year veteran of the US Postal service-serving as both a letter carrier and a mechanic. His joy in life came from his family, his pets and his love of photography and fixing cars. He also enjoyed the challenge of Sudoku puzzles. He was a kind and gentle man, that was always prepared for every situation. He was always there to help anyone in any situation. He will be sorely missed. He now dwells in the house of the Lord with his wife of 51 years. Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. ” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43) Ted is survived by; daughter Patricia Hatch-Sabers; and son Michael Roberts; sister-in-law Patricia Whitzell; grandsons Mason Hatch, Derek Hatch, Hunter Hatch and Austin Roberts and nephew Bob Summers; Son-in-law David Sabers and daught-in-law Christina Roberts. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gwendolyn F. Roberts and sister Lynn Thompson. A Military Honors burial ceremony for Ted will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 SR 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. A Celebration of life will occur Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
