Elisa Mendez

Beloved Elisa Mendez, 59, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, July 4th, 2025. Elisa was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Rosa Rodriguez Rivera and the late Agustin Mendez Vales. She was the second of five children, preceded by her brother Jesus and followed by Calmira, Raimundo, and Gabriel.

She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Erika Sarver, Giselle Lefranc, and Megan Maginn; her mother, Rosa Rodriguez Rivera; sister, Calmira Mendez Rodriguez; brother, Gabriel Mendez; and two grandchildren, Kayden Belvin and Orion Lefranc. Her adolescent years were spent in Puerto Rico until the age of 15, where she relocated to Florida in 1981.

Elisa began her nursing career in 1990 as an LPN at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. She was an esteemed RN - Registered Nurse for 33 years and recently received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2021.

Elisa absolutely adored her three daughters and two grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. She always enjoyed watching tennis, playing pickleball, and most importantly, ballroom dancing to her heart’s content. It was her calling to provide care and to be of service to others.

Elisa was a beautiful, kind, and gentle soul who deeply touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A gathering for family & friends for Elisa will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service at 6:00 PM.
