

Fitz Herbert Morrison of Royal Palm Beach Florida died on Monday, July 6th 2015, at the age of 96. Fitz was born in St. Mary Jamaica to Adonijah and Vera Robinson. His early education was at Brainerd Elementary School, followed by Normal (Hughden) Secondary School in Jamaica. He received his higher education at Howard University in Washington DC, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, followed by his Masters at Catholic University. He was a respected microbiologist and culminated his career as director of the laboratory at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring Maryland.
He served with the Caribbean-American For Community Involvement (CAFCI) club, and was a Hall of Fame member of the Crestwood Performing Arts League (CPAL) for over 20 years, where he served as recording secretary, then vice president for a year.
He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington where he joyfully served as organist for many years. His love for praising God at the organ started as a youngster, and he became organist at the Torrington Christian Church in Kingston Jamaica at the age of 17.
He is bereaved by his loving family; daughter Charmaine; two sons Fitz (Lisa), Hugh (Carla); granddaughter, Tonya; brothers Rupert Robinson (Joy), Cyril Robinson, and sisters Pearl Blake and Daphne Robinson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 18th 2015 at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church of Wellington 12700 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Wellington Florida 33414. Entombment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
