Better know as "Brother Fred" to his friends, was born September 8, 1918 in Pottsville, PA. He passed away on January 7, 2012. Dr. Bertolet served as an evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene and preached the gospel for over 60 years. He and his wife Grace, who preceded him in death in 2005, were known as the Musical Bertolet's (Brother Fred was accomplished on the trumpet and Grace on the organ). Their ministry carried them half way around the world including Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. Brother Fred conducted religious crusades for 32 different denominations.
He is survived by his church family at Lake Worth First Church of the Nazarene.
A visitation will be held from 1 PM - 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 11th at the funeral home. Dr. Bertolet will be laid to rest immediately following the viewing at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Lake Worth First Church of the Nazarene, 1422 Lucerne Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
