Worth home. Jackie had Cystic Fibrosis, an incurable genetic disease of the lungs and pancreas. A life-long resident of Lake Worth, she attended Lake Worth Middle School and graduated and received her high school diploma from the DiBacco School. As a child, she attended and achieved her confirmation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lake Worth. Jackie enjoyed a brief career, spending several years working for two medical practices, before the course of her illness cut that short. Jackie was much beloved by her many friends and, especially, by her large extended family. She was especially devoted to her only nephew, Justin. Jacquelyn Rorick is survived by her mother, Catherine L’Engle Rorick; her father, Robert J. Rorick; her sisters, Jessica Rorick Marz and Jamie Lynn Rorick; her nephew, Justin Rorick (all of Lake Worth), and her grandparents, Claude and Veve L’Engle of Vero Beach, and Margaret Rorick, of Lake Worth. Her loss is also mourned by her aunts and uncles and many cousins, on both sides of her family. A viewing will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, on Thursday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will follow there at 3 p.m., with a brief graveside service held at approximately 3:45. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Jacquelyn Rorick’s name.
