Age 62 of Syracuse, NY passed away in the VA Hospital on July 8, 2014 having been ill for many years. He was born in Queens, NY to John and Josephine McDonald. He was raised in North Massapequa, NY. He joined the Navy and fought in Vietnam, then settled in Syracuse NY. His parents settled in FL. Johnny is survived by a daughter, Cecilia; three grandchildren, Regina, Victor and Dominic; sisters, Kathy and Janice; brother, Eddie; mother, Josephine; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, crafts, reading and teaching his grandchildren how to play the guitar. He was caring, loving, hard working and talented. He is at peace and home with God and will be greatly missed by all. Friends may visit from 10:00 - 11:00am on Thursday, July 24th with Memorial Services at 11:00am at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with honors in the South Florida VA National Cemetery.
