She leaves her sister Jan of Jacksonville, FL; stepbrother Bill Tucker and sons of Margate, FL; loved cousins; and treasured friends. Lisa joins her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Heaven.
Lisa grew up in the Midwest, had that unwavering work ethic, and she was never afraid of hard work. She mentored many young people who wanted to learn from her great culinary skills. She loved helping and teaching them.
In her career as an outstanding chef, she gave attention to every detail. Chef Lisa's deep passion for cooking focused on perfection. She wanted to delight each guest and make sure they returned.
Café L'Europe's Norbert & Lidia Goldner gave her a sous chef job. They and their superb chefs extensively taught Lisa the Palm Beach way for restaurant excellence. During her 10 years there, she made many long-time and cherished friends. The Goldners took some of their chefs on a trip to New York City, in order to experience and learn from the chefs in restaurants there. Lisa was beyond thrilled!
She was proudly awarded a plaque from the Palm Beach Post 1997 for The Palm Beach Tavern as Top 10 Restaurant in Palm Beach County. The restaurant received four stars for its "extraordinary" cuisine and service; Lisa loved being the Executive Chef.
In later years, she enjoyed helping to provide excellent, nourishing food to assisted living residents.
She loved the beach and ocean in Florida, and she even did some surfing in her teens & 20s.
Lisa was a loving and giving lady who cherished people and was always interested in their families. She was deeply loved by her sister and many friends, who were like family to her. She will be greatly missed.
She stayed close to her Christian faith as a devoted follower of Christ. She always loved watching sermons from Christ Fellowship Church.
