Mary E. Raab

Mary E. Raab, 86 of Greenacres, FL, formerly of Florham Park, NJ, was born on April 5, 1930 and passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016. Mary was passionate for the Lord Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. She had a servants heart and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW). She served the St Vincent DePaul Society, fed the homeless, knit and crochet prayer shawls for the sick and more. She loved people with joy and had a smile that lit up a room. Mary was active in women’s golf for 40 years. She chaired her community women’s club. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Baseball-Mom, a Dance-Grandma, and a good dancer herself. She enjoyed books, bowling, baking, and bridge. She was a seasoned traveler and a fashionista.

Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald E. Raab, her daughter, Donna Raab Fayerman, her son-in-law, Peter S. Fayerman of Wellington, Fl, her granddaughter, Lauren E. Fayerman, her sister, Trudy Ward and her brother-in-law, William Ward of Florham Park, NJ. Also her nieces and nephews and her many wonderful friends.

Mary was predeceased by her son, Glenn Jay Raab.

Funeral Mass and Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Matthews Catholic Church 6090 Hypoluxo Rd., Lake Worth.

Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to The National Down Syndrome Society, www.ndss.org.

Mary’s Sister, Trudy and brother-in-law, Bill Ward also lived in the same town raising their family. They lived a beautiful life in that home for 40 years. They became snowbirds in 1981 and then moved permanently to Greenacres in Palm Beach County, Florida in 1996 where both Glenn and Donna and Donna’s husband, Peter were living with their beloved granddaughter, Lauren. Lauren, 27 years old, will be married in October 2016 to Derek Hunter of Aurora, Ohio.
