
Dr. Paul Wesley Graham passed away peacefully on the night of Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 97. He was born in Bentonia, Mississippi on June 22, 1919. For the past one and a half years Paul has resided at Harbor Chase Assisted Living in Tallahassee. He was a proud Veteran having served his country in the Southwest Pacific Theater during WWII. After the war Paul remained in the Air Force Reserve and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.
Paul earned his Doctorate at Ole Miss and spent his professional career in higher education. He moved his family to Palm Beach County in 1959 and began working in administration at Palm Beach Community College. Paul retired as Vice President of Academic Affairs after 25 years of devoted service to students and the greater community.
Paul is survived by his son, Bill Graham, and daughter-in-law Shelley Hill Graham, who reside in Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by Elizabeth Peeples Graham, his loving wife of over 50 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at Dorsey – E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Visitation will begin at noon followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place immediately afterwards at Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Salvation Army. Dr. Graham served as treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors of The Salvation Army in Lake Worth, Florida and derived tremendous satisfaction from his years of active involvement.
