

at Coral Bay Rehabilitation. She was born in Gibsonville, North Carolina to the late Harry D.
and Roxie Stewart. Paula was a Suma Cum Laude graduate from Elan College and received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She was an exemplary teacher for 27 years
who was deeply devoted to her students. Paula taught first grade at Hillcrest Elementary
School in Burlington, North Carolina and Wynnebrook Elementary School in West Palm Beach.
Paula was preceded in death by her son Richard N. Loy in 2005, also her sisters Ruth S. Clapp and
Jean Hicks of North Carolina. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Leonard A. Loy,
her sister Ann Wright and her husband Rev. Thomas Wright of VA., along with numerous nieces
and nephews.Her family expresses tremendous gratitude to the caregivers at Coral Bay, especially
her neighbor and nurse Miriam Lopez. Paula's family will receive friends on Monday between 11:00 am
and 12:00 noon at the funeral home, where her life will be celebrated at 12:00 noon.
She will be laid to rest immediately following at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
