Richard "Dick" Lee Myers passed away June 23, 2019. He was born May 3, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois to Robert George and Almeda Marie (Holub) Myers. Dick was a resident of Okeechobee for over 20 years, his passion in life was semi-pro bass fishing in Lake Okeechobee. He was a hardworking man that believed in the bond of a handshake and the honor of a man's word.
Dick is survived by his wife, Sharon Myers; daughter, Becky Solensten, of Minnesota; sister, Carol Violante; brothers, Bryant Smith (Marie), Jack Smith (Paula), Chris Smith (Tina), Jeff Smith (Tangi), Frankie Myers (Rob); three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Dorsey- Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home 3041 Kirk Road Lake Worth, Florida 33461.
