It has taken me so long to put to paper my thoughts, my feelings regarding your sudden and completely unexpected passing.  Not one single day has gone by without a thought of you and all those you have left behind.  My heart hurts. It doesn’t feel real, honestly.

It is completely true, to know you Pupi, is to love you.  I mean, how could anyone not? You are the biggest, brightest, loudest energy in the room.  Always happy to gather together, sending open invites to birthdays or holidays, welcoming any family member or friend. Giving a kind, endearing or encouraging word and a genuine embrace.  It never mattered how long it has been since the last visit.  I will miss that so very much.

Leading Grace or toasting to celebrate any special occasion, you are never with a loss of words.  Every life you touched, every path you encountered, no doubt someone is left blessed for knowing you.  You are the “Heartbeat” of the Vazquez Family…

Our families have grown up together for many decades. To know Roger was to love Roger. I have so many great memories that I will always cherish. Roger loved his family with all his heart and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Anytime I would run into Roger he always gave me the biggest hug and would always leave me with telling me he loved me and to give my family his best. Roger made such an impact in so many peoples lives and it showed by the many faces that came to show their love and support for him. You are and will always be so loved Rog. Watch over your family and give them the strength and courage they need to navigate this new normal. Rest Peacefully, Rog. 🤍

I'm still in a daze and will never be the same.Kids to grown Adults my brother Rog.I love you and I will carry you and our memories with me for the rest of my days.

The Lamazares Familia

I still remember coaching the kids (Julia, Sophie, and Carsan) for Tball and having to literally pick kids up and run with them to place them where they needed to be on the diamond! Still one of my personal favorite memories with “coach” Roger.  From coaching Tball to soccer, we had such an amazing group of kids and parents. Times I will never forget! 


I will never forget how contagious your smile and laughter was. I will never forget your warm loving hugs and how generous you were. You and The memories you have given to me will always have a special place in my heart. You will be missed so very much and never forgotten I love you tio- love ari

I have some great memories of you and the family. One of my favorite memories of you is one night you were giving Julia and Sophia a bubble bath in your bathroom, you were playing with the girls and making a huge mess and you turned to me and said “one day, you will have all this too, you will have your family too.” I wish you could have seen it come true. I haven’t seen you in a few years, but I always wished you the best and that one day we would cross again at our kids events. You will be missed.

Roger was warm and invite and always welcome me into his family. He took me ATV'ing at Plant Bamboo and jet skied in the canal.  He always invited me to his family events.  His family is amazing and I love them very much--hard to explain how I feel.  I felt like not just a friend but family. I will never forget about him in my life. He is very wonderful person and always fun to be around. He's in heaven.

I can't even begin to put into words how devastating it was to hear the news. We go back to middle school, my birthday twin 3/1/79. Always had the biggest smile, heart & contagious laugh. Damn we are gonna miss you Roger. You will be truly missed, this isn't goodbye but see you later.

I was so saddened and heart broken when I found out about your passing. I have so many memories of you. It all started at Greenacres  Ball park where we played baseball. We all use to run around the ballpark and have no worries in life. You were always the sweetest and the greatest friend anyone could have in their life. Your smile was infectious. Roger was always true and faithful to his friends and family. He would give anyone his last morsel of food before someone would go hungry. He was a caring soul  and will be missed by anyone who was blessed by his presence. Our prayers go out to Vasquez family and friends, may god bring you closer together in your time of loss.
