Sara Ruth Van Antwerp, a compassionate, loved, resilient, funny, intelligent, and wise individual, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 83. Sara was born on June 22, 1942, in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she was also raised. She was a talented musician, songwriter, and singer, who dedicated her life to teaching music, never truly retiring from her passion.
Sara was widowed and leaves behind three children. Her interests included motorcycles, music, faith, crocheting, family photos, and gardening. She had a strong belief in her faith and was known for her generosity, always helping her neighbors and offering support to the unhoused with food or shelter.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm at Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, located at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A service will follow at 12:00pm. The Graveside Service will take place at Lake Worth Memory Gardens at 12:45 pm.
