Sylvia Mae (Michel) Mohr passed away on November 28, 2015. She was born May 4, 1909, in Artesion, SD, worked and raised her family in Newberry, Michigan, and retired to Lake Worth, FL in 1963. Her last words were, “You know I love you,” as she peacefully joined her parents, A. C. & Silvia Michel, her loving husband, Carl of 54 years, and her siblings, Paul, Lillian, “Dude,” Charles, and Doris. She will forever be remembered by her daughter, Jane and Don Dye, her son, Monte and Betty Mohr, her grandchildren, Jon and Polly (McMullen) Brown, Scott and Leslie Brown, Pam and Dave Butler, Paula and Rich Garver, her great grandchildren: Dianna and Andrew Paulson, Krista and Keith Young, Rachael and Korie Garver, Derek, Eric, and Jason Brown, and her great-great grandchildren: Evelyn, Bryant and Noah.
What an amazing life she led, affecting so many lives in such positive ways. She will always be a special part of us: the way we see the world, the way we treat others, the way we know things will work out all right, the way we appreciate beauty and love all around us, and the way we laugh at adversity, while finding another way of dealing. There is no doubt that Sylvia is sending love and good wishes to each of us, as we go about this life’s journey, missing her presence.
The family is very grateful to her caregivers, Hospice and staff of Lourdes-Noreen McKeen, which has been her home this past 11 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be offered for the Employee Appreciation Fund, Lourdes-Noreen McKeen, 315 S. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12th, from 1:00-3:00PM, with service at 2:30PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
