1949-2012
First born child of Dr. Theodore E. Jackson and Jean Obee Jackson, was a third generation, life-long resident of Palm Beach County, graduate of FHHS Class of 1967, Master Electrician and loyal member of IBEW 728, and Key Lime Pie baker extraordinaire.
Born in the sign of water, Ted was most at peace on St. George and Peanut Island with his family, friends, and his four legged “girls", Georgia, Abby, and Savannah.
Ted was always the first to offer help to others and influenced the lives of many people, passing on his vast knowledge and skills through coaching, BMX, fishing, diving, and boating.
He was predeceased by his father, brother Randy, and his grandson, Christian Jackson Smiley. He is greatly missed by his loving wife, Robin, son Teddy, daughter Elizabeth Smiley (Mark), mother Jean, sisters Cheryl Baker and Deborah Duck, brother Christopher, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PBC Reef Rescue and/or Friends of Gumbo Limbo. The family welcomes friends to a Memorial service at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 100 North Palmway, Lake Worth, FL 33460, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
