Candido Manuel Ortega

Candido Manuel Ortega (Lefty) was born on February 18, 1933 in Weston, Colorado. He passed away on August 25, 2018 at 85 years old. Manuel was a good, honest man and one of a kind. He loved his wife Beatrice and was a wonderful husband. He was a good brother and loved his sister and brother, Josie and Pete. He was an amazing father and an awesome grandpa and great-grandpa. He had many brother and sister in laws which he loved and cared for very much. He always put his family first and would do anything for them. One of his favorite hobbies was playing horseshoes and you can believe he was good at it, even at 85 years old. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, basketball, and watching the Denver Broncos and the Rockies. Anyone who knew Lefty knew he was very organized and always on time, if not early. Manuel worked for Denver Water and retired in 1996. He was a hard worker. Even in his older age he was very active and always on the go. Anyone who got to meet Lefty was lucky to have known him. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Ortega; sibling, Josie Sandoval; children, Raymond Ortega(Angie Ortega), Mitchell Ortega and Bernadine Brannan(Ernest Brannan); 5 grandchildren; Vincent Ortega(Felicia Ortega), Adrian Brannan, Steven Lucero(Ali Neal), Candice Monaco(Alex Monaco) and Angelique Ortega(Brandon Vigil); 10 great-grandchildren; Valerie Ortega, Davion Lucero, Vincent Ortega Jr, Steven Lucero Jr, Caleb Lucero, Rylee Lucero, Violet Ortega, AJ Monaco, Vesper Ortega and Eli Monaco; many in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
