Lisa Cleo Woods

Lisa Cleo Woods, 66, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Born on February 1, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, Lisa grew up with a love of learning and creativity that shaped her remarkable life. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1979 and pursued her passion for culinary arts, becoming a beloved teacher at Santa Barbara Community College. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own catering company, *Simple Elegance*, showcasing her flair for crafting memorable culinary experiences.

After relocating to Colorado, Lisa dedicated 15 years to Jefferson County Human Services, where her kindness and commitment touched countless lives. Lisa's legacy is one of resilience, warmth, and a boundless capacity for uplifting others.

Lisa was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lawrence Cleo Woods and Erma Woods, as well as her siblings, Keenan Woods and Allison Renee Woods. She is survived by her cherished children, Dion Lamar Woods, Cydney Renee Woods, and Taylor Marie Woods. Her siblings, Derrick Lamar, Lawrence Anthony, Duane De Carlos, Phillip LaShawn, Christopher Byron, and Harlan Malone Woods, along with many extended family members and friends, will forever remember her as a guiding light in their lives.

Lisa’s memory will be honored in every meal lovingly prepared, every act of kindness inspired by her example, and every heart she touched.
