

Michael was born in Evanston, Illinois on December 5th, 1951. He grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois. He attended Niles West High School. He played football and was a Chicago Tribune All Area selection. He continued his education at Illinois State University.
In his professional career Michael was a Regional Sales Director and later the Executive Director of an Assisted Living Facility. The past few years he worked for Argus Event Planning in security for various events for the Broncos, CU football, concerts and events at Red Rocks and soccer games at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
He was an Ambassador for the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Rotary Club and volunteered at church and the food bank.
He enjoyed cooking (he was a great chef!), gardening, golf, fishing, hiking, and reading. Michael was selfless, kind, gregarious and always was quick with a story or joke. He was always open to new experiences and was a friend to everyone he met.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Patricia Maloney, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of 46 years and their son, Ryan. Mike was the eldest of three boys. Mike is survived by his two brothers, Kevin and Patrick (Jamie), their five children and their five grandchildren.
Mike was the brother in law to Helen's sisters, Beth and Kiki as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
