Phillip Lloyd Garcia

Phillip was born on November 2, 1963, in Phoenix, Arizona to Ruth Tafoya and Lloyd Garcia. Phillip was known as Phil to friends, Pete to his family and Peto by his elders.

Phillip moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Colorado, where he lived in several place like Center, Colorado and Denver, Colorado. Phillip attended Valverde elementary, Rishel Jr. High and West High School. Phillip also attended Red Rocks Community College.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Cassandra; his children, LaCinda, Cheryl, James, Marie; his grandchildren, Jacob, Emilio, Danae, Tatyana, Lorenzo, Georgie, Layla, Roscoe Jr., Angelo, Alexander; his brother Alfred (Al); his cousin Bernardo (Sonny), daughter-in-law, Josephine; along with but not limited to his Garcia family; Karen, Lynn, Donny, Vincent and all their children.

Phillip was predeceased and will be welcomed at the gates of heaven by his mother Ruth; his father Lloyd; his uncle Bernardo Sr., and son Rickie.

Phillip was a patriotic citizen and enjoyed his time working at the Veteran Affair Hospital, and enjoyed working with his co-worker, whom later became like family. Phillip had great love for the outdoors where he would go camping and fishing. Phillip loved giving fishing tips to his son James along with roscoe and George on how to catch “The Big One”. Phillip’s love for fishing and nature was passed down to his children, grandchildren, and to any friends or family who enjoyed his company.

Phillip always spoke of the importance of family, along with sticking together and being proud of being a Garcia, along with what it meant to bear the name. Phillip was a jack of all trades, along with being a caring husband, father, friend, and companion. Phillip will be deeply missed and remembered for all the laughs and great memories.

Join us in sending Phillip off with one last hurrah at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services- Runyan-Stevenson located at 6425 W. Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO. 80226 on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10:00am to 12:00pm for the viewing and practicing in social distancing, while alternating the visitation. Family will be there to welcome friends and relatives during the viewing.
