Alex T. Gallinaro

Alexander Gallinaro, 78, passed away November 28, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Mr. Gallinaro was born and raised in Brooklyn, moving to Manalapan when he was 36 years old and upon retirement moving to Lakewood. He worked as a jeweler for 15 years in New York City and Owned and Operated Gallinaro Jewelers in Woodbridge Center for 12 years. He was very active in the Fairway’s community where he was an avid golfer and card player. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Gallinaro is predeceased by his parents Frank and Victoria and sister, Nancy Iannaci. Alexander is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years Lynne; children: Alex Gallinaro and his wife Nilla and Michelle Rosado and her husband Elliot; grandchildren: Jonathan and Kristen; and a brother, Thomas Gallinaro. Friends may call Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 7-9 pm and Monday, December 1, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 9:15AM at the St. Luke’s Church in Toms River. Entombment will take place at Ocean County Memorial Park, in Toms River. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Alexander’s memory to either the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
