Alice DeMarco

Alice DeMarco, 94, passed away July 4, 2012 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Alice was born in Norwich, CT and lived in Glasgow, CT, Voluntown, CT and Brooklyn, NY before settling in Lakewood, NJ. She worked for Coopers and Lybrand for many years in New York City. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, trips to Atlantic City and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by all. Alice is predeceased by her two sisters Elaine Hill and Loretta Gregoire and a brother Donald Hassler. Alice is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph, three daughters, Linda Mann, Patricia DeMarco, and Susan Soldiviero and her husband Raymond, five grandchildren, Jane Sutherland, Michael Tayler, Desiree Soldiviero, Jared Soldiviero, and Elizabeth Mann (Mike Wallace), and two great grandchildren, Virginia and Graham Wallace. Friends may call Friday, July 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Alice’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
