Catherine Ann Vansant

Catherine “Pat” (Van Schoick) Van Sant, 89, passed away October 2, 2016 at her residence in Lakewood. Pat was raised in Freehold and moved to Lakewood where she resided for the past 69 years. She was a graduate of Freehold High School and Rider College. Along wither her husband Don, she was the co-owner/operator of Van Sant Equipment. She was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Mary of the Lake Church. Pat was an avid Mets fan and most importantly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat also loved the company of her loyal caregivers Beanie, Kim and Pat. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. Pat is predeceased by her husband Don in 1991. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Nancy and Larry Duncan, Cookie Graga and Eric Rice, and Buddy and Geri-Lynn Van Sant, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Noon at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood. Interment will take place at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
