Donna was the steady heart of her family and the safest place they have ever known. She had a rare gift for making people feel at ease. In her presence, you felt seen, not in a casual way, but in a way that made you feel understood and valued for exactly who you were. Conversations with Donna were never rushed or distracted. She listened with genuine interest because, in that moment, she believed nothing was more important than the person in front of her. Her kindness was patient and unwavering. She offered acceptance without judgment and love without condition.
Her greatest joy was the life she built alongside her devoted husband, Roger. Their marriage was rooted in loyalty, respect, and deep admiration for one another. Through every season of life, they chose each other. Roger often spoke of her quiet strength, steady, humble, and always present, which became the foundation of their family.
Donna was a devoted mother to Tracey and Todd, offering steady guidance and reassurance throughout their lives. As a grandmother to Connor and Kristin, she found a special happiness that was pure and joyful. She took pride in who they were becoming and never missed an opportunity to encourage them. Her love helped shape who they are today, and they will carry her warmth, her gentleness, and the way she made them feel deeply supported for the rest of their lives.
Donna leaves behind her beloved husband Roger; her daughter Tracey and her husband CJ; her son Todd and his wife Barbara; her brother Bruce Werthwein and his wife Margaret; her grandson Connor; her granddaughter Kristin; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness. She was predeceased by her mother, Vera, and her father, Franklin Werthwein.
Donna’s love was the foundation of her family, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength. She will be missed every day and remembered always
