Born in Lakewood, New Jersey, Doris was a lifelong resident of Lakewood before moving to Brandywine Reflections Assisted Living 12 years ago. She worked as an operator for New Jersey Bell Telephone in Freehold, New Jersey and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakewood. Doris greatly enjoyed baking, gardening and serving others.
She was a care giver to her mother, Mildred D. Wrobel, before her death in 2000. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pierson J. Estelle, in 1982, her brother and his wife, Gerald M. and Doris Hayes, in addition to a daughter-in-law, Gewndolyn Luty Estelle in 2017.
She is survived by her son, Steven Estelle in Mantoloking, NJ, a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Dennis Dressler; two grandchildren Debra and her husband Daniel Matullo, Dennis Dressler Jr. and Fiancé Christina; three great-grandchildren Amanda Matullo and fiancé Joshua, Ian Matullo all of Appomattox, Va, Nicholas and his wife Kalynn Matullo of Richmond, Va.; along with many special nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to her Brandywine Reflections family and the Hospice staff for their love and wonderful care given to Doris.
