Edward Nowicki, age 78, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021. Son of Francis and Stanley Nowicki, he was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ, moving to Jersey City, NJ, Pennsylvania, Glen Rock, NJ, Middletown, NJ, and finally settling in Lakewood, NJ for the past 5 years. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Peter's College in Jersey City. Ed was the owner/operator of Priority Services in Hackensack for many years. He also worked for Haband in Prospect Park, NJ as the Director of Merchandising and for Creditek in Lyndhurst as the VP of Operations. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Fair Lawn, NJ. He was very active in The Fairways Community, namely the Fishing and Men's Clubs. Ed was an avid fisherman, gardener, bird watcher, and wood worker, but his true passion was spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and cousin and will be greatly missed by all.
Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, (Sylvia) Kay, daughters Michelle Zimmermann (husband William), Carole Lynn Nowicki, and Keri Frey (husband Jason), granddaughters Samantha and Victoria Frey, and cousin Lorraine Nowicki.
Arrangements are under the direction of the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will be held privately at the St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
