He was born on February 18, 1933, in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, to the late Francisco and Teodora Siverio.
Elias was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by hard work, loyalty, and deep love for his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved soulmate, Alice Siverio, who passed in 2023, as well as his son-in-law Paul Kreie, and his siblings Maria Theresa, Wilfredo, and Francisco.
He is survived by his loving children: Elizabeth Siverio Brennan (husband Anthony), James Siverio, Suzanne Siverio Kreie, and Robert Siverio (wife Dina). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Patrick (Marissa), Andrew, Briana, Paige, and Matthew, and a cherished great-grandfather to Henry and Morgan. Elias is also survived by his brother Joseph Siverio and Sister-In-Law Gayle Siverio, along with many loving extended family members.
Elias met the love of his life, Alice, in Brooklyn, where they began their family together. They later moved to Jackson, where they raised their children and lived for over 30 years, before settling in Brick, where Elias resided for nearly 20 years.
A hardworking and dedicated provider, Elias spent 43 years as a foreman at Express Containers. Even after retiring, his strong work ethic never faded—he continued working until the age of 90, most recently at Auto Part International, where he was honored as Driver of the Year at the age of 78.
Elias had a passion for life and spending time with his wife and family. He loved Latin dancing with Alice, was a devoted sports fan—especially the New York Yankees and the New York Knicks—and enjoyed watching tennis. He also loved bowling and was part of many leagues throughout the years. Elias was a mean Scrabble player and enjoyed playing poker, rummikub, and dominoes. He also was an avid watcher of All My Children. After Alice’s passing, Elias found peace spending time outdoors, soaking in the sunlight.
Above all, Elias was a devoted family man. He devoted many years to lovingly caring for his wife, Alice, and his children always deeply admired him for his unwavering devotion, patience, and selflessness. He was deeply involved in his children’s lives, coached Little League, and never hesitated to drive them wherever they needed to be. Known for his kindness and generosity, Elias opened his home to anyone in need, volunteered at his church and was a loyal friend to all who knew him.
Elias Benito Siverio will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all whose lives he touched.
