Ellen worked for Newsweek Magazine for 35 years.
She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Cobb, and her parents Edna and Maurice “Jack” Blakeslee.
She is survived by her devoted husband Robert, daughters Tracy Haberman, her husband Brian, and Kim McLane and her husband Brian. Ellen also leaves behind two grandsons, and a soon to be born granddaughter, her brother William, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
