Frank was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on July 11, 1932. Frank was a former employee of the New York City Department of Sanitation and later relished his job as a school bus driver helping special needs children. After leaving, New York, he and his wife divided their time between Lakewood, NJ and Ft. Myers, Florida. During his early years he was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping. He and his family travelled the United States on various camping trips. He was a fan of the New York Jets and Mets. When the opportunity presented itself, he often took his children to the Mets games. Most importantly, he loved the Sunday family dinners that included his children and grandchildren, which included his precious wife's home cooking.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Eleanor Fumo and a sister, Celia Scherwitz.
Frank is survived by his wife, Laura Fumo, his children; Eleanor McLaughlin and her husband, Robert Poulin, Laura Trizzino and her husband, Carlos Ferreria, Lisa Guigno and her husband, Nick Guigno, and John Fumo and his wife, Alison Fumo; a sister, Santa Fumo Whitley; a brother, Larry Fumo; ten grandchildren; Michael McLaughlin, Mark McLaughlin, Matthew McLaughlin, Lauren Trizzino, Anthony Trizzino, Kristina Guigno, Nicholas Guigno, Joseph Guigno, Frank Fumo, and Tina Funo and three great-grandchildren.
